Only the rough-hewn support beams hint at the barn's working past.



The Royal Suite features a full kitchen, with needed cooking and dining utensils.  It also has a full bath, laundry, and private entrance to deck and gazebo.  A large living room with a fireplace can also be used as a sleeping room with two Queen Sofa Sleepers.  The private bedroom has a Queen Bed.  This suite is large, just under 1000 SF of room, making a group or family very comfortable.  Dish TV with Full Entertainment packages, HBO, Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime are all included in room rate.  Eight guest room occupancy.

The gazebo and private deck features a panoramic view of three states:  Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Look for deer, turkey and eagles that appear frequently in our area.

Sportsmen can enjoy 1500 acres of state land nearby. Stocked trout streams include French Creek, Village Creek and Clear Creek. And don't forget to visit the mighty Mississippi River, only seven miles from Our Tara Inn. Bring your boats and trailers; we have ample parking!

Stay in true comfort in any of our five rooms:  Chose from The Royal Suite, The Run-Away Lovers Loft, The Fur Traders Loft, The Lodge, or The Shangri-La.

All Loft Rooms have private baths, mini-fridges, microwaves, and in-room coffee.  They also feature Dish TV with Full Entertainment Packages, HBO, Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime all included in room rates.

The "Runaway Lover's Loft" features a Queen Bed.  Silk Comforter and luxurious linens provide you with more comfort than our legendary lovers.  Lantern fixtures and the Wrought Iron Bed will remind you of their visit here.  Two guest maximum occupancy.

The Fur Traders Loft has two double beds.  Reminiscent of the Hudson Bay Area, the room is decorated with warm gold and red tones.  Large wooden beams are left exposed to show the structure of teh barn's construction.  Four guest maximum occupancy.

The Lodgefeatures three Queen beds in two adjoining rooms with a shared bath.  The Lodge is tastefully decorated with the Woodsman in mind. It is also well suited to a family vacation stay.  Six guest maximum occupancy.
Rate per night:  $125.00

The Shargri-La features a King bed and a Jet-Tub.  The Shangri-La is designed to relax and refresh you.  Perfect for a Romantic Retreat or just to relax in.  Two guest maximum occupancy.
Rate per night:  $110.00


FOR LARGE GROUPS

All rooms may be reserved seperately.  For a large group the Royal Suyite, Runaway Lovers Loft and the Fur Traders Loft have both private and adjoining entrances.  For groups of 10-12 people this is a very comfortable arrangement, but it will accomodate up to 14 guests total.  The Lodge room and the Shangri-La also serves groups of 6-8 people with their shared entrance.  A small social area is available for the guests staying in the Lodge and the Shangri-La.  The Lobby is also available for guests' social time.
